Billon receives €2m grant from Horizon 2020

The EU’s biggest Research and Innovation programme, Horizon 2020, announced that it granted funding of almost EUR 2M to Billon Group (, under the SME Instrument programme, to expand its innovative DLT solutions beyond instant corporate payments, into eCommerce and content monetization solutions.
Billon was awarded the grant on the basis that its pioneering distributed ledger technology can exploit the Alternative Payments market, a market projected to reach $1.4 trillion(1), larger than global debit and credit card volumes combined (according to WorldPay’s 2016 Payment report).

Billon represents Polish fintech in Tokyo

Billon, one of the 3 top start-ups in Poland, presents its Distributed Ledger Technology for payouts

Billon joins official Polish delegation to the biggest global trade fair, the Hannover Messe international trade fair April 24-28th 2017.
The company will showcase the first electronic money system for instant payouts using the pioneering distributed ledger technology. Billon and two other start-ups were awarded by Poland’s Ministry of Development as outstanding young fintech companies.

Billon completes live blockchain payouts in the UK

Billon as the first company in the world successfully delivered payouts with digital money using regulated currency.
The company provided funds to 100 participants in the UK in a market research programme in cooperation with consumer research firm Conduct Research. Billon have tested its payout solution within FCA’s “regulatory sandbox” that allowed fintech businesses to try out innovative products in a live environment under the supervision of the British financial regulator.

Billon invited to the Presidential Palace

Billon was chosen as one of the most promising Polish B2B startups to deliver a 4-minute talk about digital currency and the role of Poland in the incoming financial revolution.
